Apart from being the Medical Director at Cygnet Hospital Beckton, you will also be the Responsible Clinician for New Dawn Ward - our 18 bed specialist Tier 4 Personality Disorder service for women. Women can be admitted to New Dawn if they have a diagnosis of personality disorder, exhibit self-harming behaviour and are able to accept the need for help. Service users can be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act. In this role, you’ll combine clinical expertise with sound strategic acumen and inspiring leadership to oversee the delivery of the very best care. Fully GMC registered with a relevant medical qualification An accomplished leader & clinician with strong line management & communication skills Experienced within a mental health setting and a multidisciplinary team Knowledgeable of all aspects of clinical governance Skilled in medical appraisals, clinical supervision, case investigation & case management Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
