Location
Hammersmith, London (W6 9RS) with travel across North London and other areas within the Thames Water catchment.

Hours
38 hours per week, working on a six-week rotating pattern including one weekend in six and one week of 24-hour standby (additional payment for standby).

Salary
£29,349 to £35,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.

About the Role
We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our North London Field Operations team. You will become a local expert investigating and resolving defects within the sewerage network, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations. Your role involves putting the customer at the heart of your work by engaging with customers and stakeholders to swiftly resolve their concerns. You will provide technical expertise, raise repair or maintenance work requests, and supervise contractors. You will attend reactive emergencies such as sewer flooding or pollution incidents, prioritising work to mitigate defects safely and efficiently. Additional responsibilities include completing inspections on various assets, collaborating with the Asset Damage Investigator to gather evidence of third-party damage, and attending meetings with external stakeholders to proactively address potential concerns. Requirements

Experience
An understanding of the wastewater industry or a strong interest demonstrated at interview. Experience in engineering or pipeline construction is highly desirable but not essential.

About you
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with customers, contractors, and stakeholders. Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities. Flexible approach to working and ability to prioritise effectively in a reactive environment. Good IT skills. UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications
Relevant technical qualifications are desirable but not essential. Knowledge of the sewer network and health & safety practices is advantageous.
