About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Night Chef / Kitchen Assistant to join our production kitchen at Deloitte London, working with BaxterStorey. This hands-on role involves working as part of a small night team producing fresh, high-quality sandwiches for the following day’s service. You will work alongside a Sous Chef, helping to deliver between 100–250 covers per day, with all food made from scratch on-site.

Key responsibilities include preparing a range of fresh, high-quality sandwiches (5 core varieties), working efficiently to meet daily production targets, maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards, cleaning as you go and managing your own section, supporting with light kitchen porter duties such as pot washing and equipment cleaning, and ensuring all food is prepared, labelled, and stored correctly for service.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience working as a Commis Chef or in a similar role is required. Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is essential.

About you
Ideal candidates are quick, organised, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in producing consistent, high-quality food and are self-motivated and reliable, especially in a night shift setting. A strong understanding of basic food hygiene and kitchen standards is essential. This role suits a Demi Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie happy to support with light kitchen porter duties.

Qualifications
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines is important, alongside a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and strong communication and teamwork abilities are required. Candidates must work according to BaxterStorey’s core values.
