About the Role
By joining Sainsbury's team as a PA to the Director of Logistics - Food, GM & Clothing, you will become part of an organisation that recognises the importance of its people and strives to bring in top talent to drive innovation and success. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you can make a real impact. As a PA to the Director of Logistics - Food, GM & Clothing at Sainsbury's, you will provide professional and confidential support, manage the efficient flow of information, and resolve issues to ensure smooth operations. You will be responsible for effectively managing the Director's diary, prioritising requests for time and long-term commitments according to HR and operational priorities. Additionally, you will coordinate governance, planning, reporting and delivery activity across the logistics leadership team, using sound judgement to prioritise work, align plans and stakeholders, resolve routine queries and ensure timely follow-through. The role does not hold accountability for project leadership, strategic decisions or delivery outcomes. Furthermore, you will collaborate with stakeholders, both internally and externally, to establish positive working relationships, support the resolution of queries, and take minutes in meetings as required. Your attention to detail, ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of confidentiality will be crucial to your success.
Our Supply Chain team is the engine room for getting thousands of products from farms and factories to millions of customers every day. We leverage insight and data to anticipate customer needs, ensuring they get what they want, when they need it. You'll be part of a team that is data-driven and judgement-focused, always the first to identify and address any issues or ambiguities. A culture of collaboration, customer obsession, and continuous improvement drives us to deliver market-leading product availability and operational excellence, and fuels our innovation. Our Supply Chain team calls for people who champion change, are customer-obsessed, data-driven, and excel at collaborating and communicating effectively - because those people can go a very long way.
