About the Role
Join ITV Studios' Zoo 55 Tech Squad as a Platform Engineer, working in a dynamic, agile environment to build the digital tools and infrastructure powering global media operations. Zoo 55 is focused on expanding ITV Studios’ global audience and commercial growth across digital media, operating at the intersection of content, culture, and technology. As part of the Tech Squad, you will contribute to delivering scalable media distribution platforms by developing the Ingest Portal, automating media workflows, and integrating key operational tools. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to industrialise media workflows, eliminate manual processes, and support the deployment of cloud infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge media technology projects including Cloud NAS infrastructure, Central Work Board integrations, and automated pre-match media scripting.

Experience
- Extensive experience as a Software Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Backend Developer.
- Strong coding skills in Python or Node.js with solid API development and integration experience.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and containerisation technologies like Docker.
- Experience using Git version control and participating in code reviews within an agile team environment.

- Interest or experience in digital media workflows, video processing, or metadata management.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset, ready to tackle operational blockers hands-on.
- Collaborative team player comfortable working in fast-paced, high-velocity environments.

Qualifications
No specific formal qualifications required; however, relevant technical certifications or demonstrable experience in software development, cloud infrastructure, and media technology will be advantageous.
