About the Role
Join ITV Studios’ Zoo 55, a dynamic company driving global audience expansion and commercial growth across the digital media ecosystem. As a Senior Platform Engineer within the Zoo 55 Tech Squad, you will lead the technical design and implementation of Phase 1 infrastructure projects that industrialise media workflows and support scalable global media operations. You will work closely with technical and operational teams to architect foundational systems including Cloud NAS integration, media ingest pipelines, and automated metadata scripting. This role offers the opportunity to lead hands-on development, collaborate with external vendors, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced, agile environment focused on innovation and operational excellence.

Experience
- Extensive platform, cloud, or backend software engineering experience
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Node.js for backend automation and API integration
- Deep hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Proven track record designing and delivering scalable deployment pipelines (CI/CD, GitHub Actions)

About you
- Prior experience in media broadcasting, especially with digital asset management, Cloud NAS, or video ingest workflows
- Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies and test-driven development (TDD)
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Collaborative mindset with experience working alongside external vendor technical teams

Qualifications
- AWS or GCP professional-level architectural certifications are highly desirable
