About the Role
Join ITV Studios' Zoo 55 Tech Squad as a QA Automation Engineer, driving quality and reliability across next-generation media distribution platforms. Zoo 55 is an agile, high-velocity team focused on global audience expansion and commercial growth through innovative digital media solutions. You will champion a 'shift-left' quality approach by designing, building, and maintaining automated test suites for frontend tools and backend media automation scripts. Your work will ensure platform stability and support the delivery of Phase 1 technical enhancements including a Central Work Board, Cloud NAS infrastructure, an Ingest Portal, and automated pre-match media scripting. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside industry-leading creative and technical talent in a dynamic environment, contributing to scalable media workflows and infrastructure that support expanding global media operations.

Experience
- Extensive experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation
- Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks for web applications (UI) and RESTful APIs
- Proficiency in automation scripting using JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Experience testing media processing workflows, file transfer systems, or large-scale data pipelines is desirable

About you
- Strong understanding of agile testing methodologies and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Collaborative team player able to work closely with platform engineers and technical business analysts
- Proactive in identifying and resolving software defects to maintain platform stability

Qualifications
- ISEB/ISTQB foundation certification or equivalent QA industry qualifications preferred
