We are currently recruiting for a Private Patients Customer Service Officer within Finance / Financial Operations, reporting to the Deputy Billing and Operations Manager. This role is key to providing high-quality customer service to private patients, ensuring accurate charge capture and invoice creation, and supporting the financial operations of the private patient service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting and greeting private patients, liaising with consultants, insurance companies, embassies, and other third parties, and ensuring smooth administrative processes from admission to discharge. You will play a vital role in optimising revenue for the Trust while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach to patient care.

Key responsibilities include managing patient admissions, handling financial arrangements and deposits, providing information and support to patients and staff, attending ward meetings, and contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives. You will also be responsible for data collection, stock management, and supporting the Private Patients team in delivering efficient and effective services.

Experience
- Good experience or understanding of working in a high-pressure office environment
- Experience in finance support or equivalent transferable experience
- Experience working in an environment with direct customer contact
- Desirable: Experience within a hospital environment with private patient contact and raising private healthcare invoices

- Proficient IT skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer care focus
