About the Role
The Programme Support Technician will be responsible for essential back office administration tasks associated with running an outfall project, including managing customer communications, booking customer appointments, and sending the appropriate PSWO letters within required timescales. This role supports the Environmental Protection Team, which is responsible for delivering the Surface Water Outfall Programme and investigating polluted surface water outfalls. In addition to supporting the Environmental Protection Team, the role also assists the wider Environmental Performance department with customer communications, appointment booking, and other administrative duties.

Key responsibilities include supporting Outfall Investigation field Technicians in pollution tracing and customer communications, answering customer queries directly, booking property survey appointments, printing and sending misconnection letters on time, calling customers to request updates on rectification works, printing mapping for field technicians, managing the EPT inbox, and ordering equipment for Technicians.

Experience
Experience in customer service and administration is desirable. Some knowledge of drainage and sewerage systems would be advantageous but is not essential.

About you
Excellent customer service and organisational skills are essential. You should be competent in using IT systems, including GIS and Microsoft 365 software. You will be proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

No specific qualifications are required for this role, but relevant experience and a willingness to learn are important.
