As a Project Cost Consultant, you will contribute to the delivery of commercial management services for major infrastructure projects, including mobility and rail initiatives. You will apply your specialized expertise to manage project standards in cost, time, and quality. Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders is key to ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities to deliver value.
Your responsibilities will include supporting cost and commercial management services, developing robust cost estimates, budgets, and forecasting models, providing commercial insight throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring contractual compliance (particularly under NEC contracts), analysing complex project and financial data to identify risks and opportunities, and contributing to continuous improvement of commercial processes. You will act as a trusted advisor and valued partner to clients and project teams, supporting successful delivery to agreed cost, programme, and quality objectives.
Experience
- Delivering cost and commercial management services within infrastructure projects
- Exposure to major rail, transportation or mobility programmes
- Strong understanding and practical application of NEC contracts
- Experience across both pre-contract and post-contract commercial management activities
About you
- Excellent analytical, financial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive and collaborative approach with a passion for delivering value for clients
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Professionally qualified or working towards chartered status (MRICS, MCICES or equivalent)
