The Arcadis Mobility Programme Management & Commercial Management unit is seeking highly skilled Project Planners to deliver the planning and scheduling of a major programme in London and the south of England. This pivotal role combines strategic planning and performance reporting to ensure successful project delivery.
You will play a key role in delivering mobility infrastructure projects across rail, highways, and aviation sectors, driving continuous improvement and ensuring robust project controls throughout the lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining project baseline plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules aligned with delivery objectives; monitoring progress and implementing recovery plans; reporting on earned value and performance to support financial forecasting; analysing project data to identify trends and risks; ensuring compliance with planning standards and auditing contractor plans; and collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver value and build strong relationships.
This role also involves driving continuous improvement in planning processes and adopting emerging digital tools to enhance project delivery.
Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in project planning and scheduling, ideally within major rail or infrastructure programmes.
Proven expertise in project controls, cost engineering, and financial operations.
Strong understanding of UK mobility sector and project delivery requirements.
Proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Familiarity with different contracting environments and commercial models.

Desirable: Membership of a relevant professional body.
Desirable: Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
Broad understanding of rail, highways or aviation engineering, construction, and investment planning systems is advantageous.
