About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a wide range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust is home to leading facilities including the largest dental school in Europe, a £160 million Cancer Centre, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, and one of the largest critical care units in the UK. The Trust is committed to clinical excellence, high quality teaching, research, and delivering the best possible patient experience.
As a Receipt & Distribution Operative, you will work as part of a team delivering a first-class Supply Chain service across the Trust. Your responsibilities will include receiving stock, unpacking and replenishing stores or storerooms in wards and clinical departments, ensuring continuous stock rotation, and safely handling heavy supply items. You will be responsible for the secure delivery of supplies, checking deliveries against requisitions or orders, investigating discrepancies, and arranging returns or credits where necessary.
You will also transport supplies securely across the Trust, maintain secure storage in line with safe storage requirements, and identify items requiring specialist storage such as refrigeration.
