About the Role
As part of our Retail Team, the Sales Associate is responsible for creating a client experience that accurately reflects the ethos of our brand while building and maintaining strong client relationships and driving sales through outstanding service. The ideal candidate is committed to client service, demonstrating a strong understanding of, if not passion for, luxury, travel, fashion, and lifestyle markets. The TUMI retail environment encourages an entrepreneurial spirit, offering growth opportunities over time as sales, KPIs, client awareness, and brand growth increase.
In an exclusive atmosphere, you will introduce customers to the extensive TUMI collection and provide expert advice. Your excellent customer service, combined with sales skills and empathy for the traveling customer, will lead you to success. You will conscientiously handle cash register operations and billing. With skill and attention to detail, you will ensure our high-quality products are presented invitingly and according to specified guidelines. You will also enthusiastically support internal events and promotions.
Main tasks include:
- Offering professional advice and demonstrations of TUMI products to ensure a friendly shopping experience
- Maximising sales through detailed product knowledge and add-on sales
- Handling customer complaints and phone queries tactfully in line with company policy
- Processing transactions efficiently and professionally
- Maintaining awareness of sales promotions, incentives, and product brochures
- Managing stock deliveries, discrepancies, and stockroom order
- Assisting in merchandising layouts and internal displays
- Ensuring security procedures are followed and reporting issues to management
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the store
- Handling telephone enquiries and administrative duties as directed
- Adhering to attendance and appearance policies
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed and reporting any incidents
- Performing additional duties as required by management
Experience
Initial professional experience in retail is desirable, preferably within the premium sector. Previous retail experience and ability to work under pressure are important.

You have a passion for selling premium products and enthusiasm for our brand. You demonstrate a pleasant and open sales personality with a well-groomed and professional appearance. You are a team player, motivator, and target-driven. Good command of English is required; additional language skills are an advantage. You possess brand sensibility and flexibility.
Qualifications
Computer literacy is required, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Physical ability to stand constantly, bend, and frequently lift luggage up to 15 kilos is necessary.
