About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust is home to Europe’s largest dental school, a £160 million Cancer Centre, and Evelina London Children’s Hospital, among other key facilities. It is part of King’s Health Partners and renowned for clinical excellence, teaching, and research.

The South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA) is seeking a Programme Support Officer with experience in an NHS clinical or research environment to support the delivery of the SELCA programme. The post-holder will be hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and will play a key role in supporting programme delivery, improving patient experience, reducing health inequalities, and fostering collaborative relationships across South East London and other cancer alliances.

Main duties include supporting programme delivery and specific projects, contributing to Programme Management Office functions, providing senior administrative support, coordinating stakeholder groups including patients and carers, and ensuring effective programme reporting. The role involves working flexibly across programme areas and supporting the Senior Leadership Team as needed.

SELCA aims to provide the best cancer services by improving access, outcomes, patient experience, and quality of life for the population of South East London. The alliance focuses on sharing learning, unifying cancer service visions, standardizing clinical protocols, reducing variation and inequalities, optimizing diagnostic capacity, and enhancing patient engagement.

The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant cancer programme within a leading NHS Trust committed to staff development, equality, and flexible working.
