In this permanent role based at Stockley Park, Uxbridge, you will act as a key financial business partner to commercial leads, supporting decision making through budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and performance analysis. You will provide timely insights on newly acquired clients, risks and opportunities, resource utilization, gross profit, and business drivers such as new regions, technology, and resource synergies.

You will support and challenge commercial teams on pricing, discounts, and trade spend management, ensuring accuracy and execution of financial plans. You will lead the budgeting and planning process for the commercial team and identify risks and opportunities to communicate to the business promptly.

Continuous improvement is essential, and you will challenge the status quo by simplifying processes across planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance measurement, leveraging systems such as SAP/S4, Media Pulse, VAULT ERP, and Salesforce to enhance value-added business partnering.

Ensuring strong stewardship, compliance, and control adequacy across Technical & Operations is a key responsibility, including supporting internal and external audits (including SOX). Building and fostering solid business partnering relationships with internal and external stakeholders is critical to success.

This role requires flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with minimum 5 years post-qualified experience
- At least 1 year of commercial finance experience
- Previous commercial finance management experience
- Proven business partnering experience supporting multiple stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Experience managing P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, ROI analysis, pricing structures, and risk management
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, conditional formulas, financial modelling, and data analysis
- Experience using Power BI for reporting and analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights
- Understanding of end-to-end business processes and their financial impact
- Proven ability to work effectively within a matrix organisation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- High level of numeracy and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive under pressure and remain calm and effective
- Flexible and adaptable, including occasional longer or irregular hours when required

Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Desirable:
- Experience within media, broadcasting, production, sports, events, advertising, or related industries
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience working in high-volume, complex reporting environments
- Experience with SAP, S/4HANA, BPC or SAC
- Knowledge of Salesforce
- Experience with Tableau
- Understanding of emerging technologies and industry developments within media and finance
