As Senior Commercial Finance Manager for Technical & Operations, you will act as a financial co-pilot partnering with commercial leads to deliver financial information that supports commercial decision making. Your responsibilities include leading budgeting, financial forecasting, month-end close with performance analysis, and providing timely insights on newly acquired clients, risks, opportunities, resource utilization, gross profit, and business drivers such as new regions and technologies.

You will support and challenge commercial teams on pricing, discounts, and trade spend management, lead the financial budgeting and planning process, and ensure accurate execution of financial plans. You will identify, evaluate, and communicate risks and opportunities, continuously seek to simplify processes and improve systems usage (including SAP/S4, Media Pulse, VAULT ERP, Salesforce), and ensure strong stewardship, compliance, and audit readiness (including SOX). Building and fostering strong business partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is essential.

This role requires flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with minimum 5 years post-qualified experience
- At least 1 year of commercial finance experience
- Previous commercial finance management experience
- Proven business partnering experience supporting multiple stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Experience managing P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, ROI analysis, pricing structures, and risk management
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, conditional formulas, financial modelling, and data analysis
- Experience using Power BI for reporting and analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights
- Understanding of end-to-end business processes and their financial impact
- Proven ability to work effectively within a matrix organisation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- High level of numeracy and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive under pressure and remain calm and effective
- Collaborative team player with a positive and professional approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification required

Desirable Experience
- Experience within media, broadcasting, production, sports, events, advertising or related industries
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience working in high-volume, complex reporting environments
- Experience with SAP, S/4HANA, BPC or SAC
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Tableau
- Understanding of emerging technologies and industry developments within media and finance
