About the Role

We are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager (Band 8b) on a fixed term basis until 31/03/2027 to support central reporting functions.
The role involves supporting and deputising for the Head of Financial Reporting in managing the Trust’s financial performance. This includes developing and maintaining financial processes and controls, reporting, analysing, and communicating in-year financial performance. The successful candidate will have strong financial management experience, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams to deliver a high-quality, responsive service. Flexibility, prioritisation, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.

Experience
- Significant post-qualified experience at a senior level, preferably in specialist financial management.
- Experience within a large financial management department is desirable.
- Proven track record of motivating and developing teams to achieve objectives.
- Strong knowledge of NHS accounting rules, legislation interpretation, and reporting requirements.
- Experience presenting complex financial data and delivering training to large groups.

Qualifications
- Masters degree or equivalent qualification.
