About the Role
Are you an experienced, confident Social Worker ready to step into a leadership role, providing expert guidance on complex cases and driving quality assurance? Join the London Borough of Hackney, a dynamic, values-led authority committed to equity and anti-racism. You will work within the Integrated Mental Health Service (IMHS), a Section 75 partnership with East London Foundation Trust (ELFT), playing a key role in shaping best practice across our redesigned service.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will be a vital link between frontline practice and management, focusing on expertise, quality, and staff development. Your core responsibilities include providing expert professional advice and support to social workers on the most complex cases, leading quality assurance within your team to ensure safe, legally compliant, and strengths-based practice, and taking a lead role in safeguarding adults, including chairing and coordinating enquiries where appropriate.

You will mentor staff, support the Team Manager with supervision and professional development, and contribute to embedding trauma-informed and anti-racist practice across the service. Collaboration with ELFT and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for residents is essential.

Hackney offers a supportive management structure with clear career progression opportunities, comprehensive training and development including advanced study and leadership opportunities, flexible working options, and a range of financial, wellbeing, and lifestyle benefits such as tenancy deposit loans, cycle to work scheme, and discounted gym membership.

We are committed to creating a workplace where diversity is celebrated and everyone feels valued, included, and involved. If you want to work in a place where you can represent our values and achieve the best for our residents, we encourage you to apply.
