London and various locations across England with projects within reasonable travelling distance to your home. You will be required on site 2-3 days a week and aligned with one of our regional offices or HQ in London.

Join Mace's Education technical advisory team and act as the client's trusted quality representative on major school construction programmes. From design development through to handover, you will influence design quality, buildability, contractor performance and project outcomes across some of the UK's most significant education projects. This role offers a unique opportunity for experienced chartered professionals to combine technical expertise, leadership and client-side influence within a multidisciplinary team environment. You will work alongside Project Directors, technical advisors, architects, structural engineers, fire engineers and MEP specialists on some of the UK's highest-profile education projects, shaping the quality of schools for future generations. Your responsibilities will include delivery of on-site quality monitoring to ensure quality, safety, compliance, buildability and educational outcomes; reviewing employer’s requirements and contractors’ proposals; reviewing works on-site for adherence to contract, quality assurance processes and manufacturers’ recommendations; design coordination and buildability review; managing specialist consultants such as M&E Engineers, Fire Consultants and Façade Engineers; and effective verbal and written communication including reporting on online information platforms. Familiarity with JCT forms contract is required. The role requires DBS and basic security clearances for delivery.
Experience
Significant project experience in construction quality monitoring and client-side technical leadership roles. Experience working on major education construction programmes is highly desirable.

Qualifications
A relevant construction degree or equivalent qualification. Chartered status as Building Surveyor, Project Manager, Engineer, Architect or equivalent is essential. NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager accreditation is desirable but not essential. Strong grounding in building technology including modern methods of construction (MMC) is required.
