A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Acute Medicine & Support Services team based at St Thomas’ Hospital as a Service Manager. This role involves managing the Assessment & Care (A&C) team and working closely with multidisciplinary teams within the Trust and across the South East London sector, including social services, other hospitals, commissioners, charities, and partner organisations.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in operational management and leadership, supporting the delivery of an ambitious and exciting vision for the service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop operational experience in a highly collaborative environment, requiring a systematic and rigorous approach combined with high emotional intelligence.

Experience
- Operational experience managing specific services including design, development, implementation, and change management in a multi-professional environment
- Experience managing complex budgets from multiple income sources
- Demonstrable evidence of individual, team, financial, process, and change management
- Proven track record of successful project and operational performance delivery and improvement, including development and monitoring of output and outcome measures

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience
- Evidence of recent continuing professional development
- Desirable: Understanding of improvement methodology and knowledge of the changing NHS environment
- Competent IT skills including MS Office, particularly Excel
