About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Rehabilitation and Therapies team at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic Service Manager to work across multiple sites within the Heart, Lung and Critical Care Clinical Group. This is an exciting time to join as the directorate is undergoing clinical transformation and innovation, offering multiple opportunities to drive change and improve patient pathways.
The role involves managing the A&C team and supporting Therapy Leads and the Directorate Management Team (DMT). You will bring operational management expertise combined with strong leadership skills to support delivery of an ambitious vision for the service. This position offers a chance to further develop operational experience within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Experience
- Operational experience managing specific services including design, development, implementation and management of change in a multi-professional environment
- Experience managing complex budgets from multiple income sources
- Demonstrable evidence of individual, team, financial, process and change management

- Extensive administration assurance and workforce management experience
- Highly collaborative, systematic and rigorous approach with a high level of emotional intelligence

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience
- Evidence of recent continuing professional development
Desirable
- Understanding of lean methodology
- Knowledge and understanding of the changing NHS environment
- Knowledge of operations and/or project management methodologies and techniques
- Effective people and project management skills
- Ability to use analytical and judgement skills including understanding and application of complex statistical and numerical data
- Ability to work flexibly and prioritise in response to changing demands and requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written, oral, presentation, facilitation), networking and negotiation skills
