About the Role
Ealing Council has an exciting opportunity for two Sheltered Housing Officers to join our Sheltered Housing Service. This role involves supporting vulnerable and elderly tenants by building trusted relationships, identifying support needs through proactive visits, and working in partnership with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate tailored support. You will provide practical help and advice, contribute to safeguarding, and ensure residents can access the services they need to thrive in their homes and communities.

We welcome applicants who are experienced housing professionals or those currently working in non-housing roles with transferable skills beneficial to the Sheltered Housing service. While experience working with older people or vulnerable adults is advantageous, it is not essential. Full training will be provided.

In line with the ethos of LB Ealing to support career development, we seek passionate individuals who have worked with diverse clientele and are committed to delivering a quality service. The role requires compassion, professionalism, and the ability to promote tenant independence while respecting professional boundaries.

We do not accept CVs; applicants must complete a supporting statement demonstrating how they meet the criteria outlined in the role profile. Applications submitted with CVs will not be considered.

Ealing Council is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. We follow safer recruitment practices to protect these groups.

We particularly encourage applications from early and mid-career professionals underrepresented in Ealing’s workforce. All applications will be considered on merit.
