About the Role
Are you a Psychology graduate looking for your next step? Are you someone people go to when distressed or troubled, someone who knows the right thing to say or do, someone who does not judge, does not make assumptions and can see the potential in everyone? As a Social Therapist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team on an in-patient ward. With supervision, support, and training, you will deliver interventions defined within the personalised care plan, spend time engaging, connecting, and supporting service users, families, carers, and friends through their recovery pathway. You will help facilitate activities/groups and ward-based projects and be actively involved in every aspect of the physical, psychological, and social care of people who use our service. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include actively participating in both the assessment and care plan process, ensuring care is individualised and truly meets the holistic needs of the service user, and working with both registered nurses and other members of the Multi Disciplinary Team to ensure defined care is implemented.
