About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people in more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life by solving complex challenges together.

Arcadis Digital X is a global Technology Consulting Practice Group providing advisory, design, and engineering services to ELV, ICT/IMIT/telecommunications, PLC/SCADA/HMI, physical & cyber security, and audio-visual technology clients. Our team of subject matter experts has delivered thousands of technology projects, designing solutions that people love to use.

We primarily serve sectors such as industrial manufacturing, hyperscale data centers, healthcare, education, and government, where technology is critical to success. These sectors require a high level of expertise in technology consulting and engineering beyond traditional engineering communities.

We are seeking a talented Technology Systems Specialist – ICT/ELV to join our global technology design team based in the UK, supporting global projects. This role reports to the practice area Associate and the Practice Group Director.

Key responsibilities include systems design of extra low voltage (ELV) systems such as ICT, Audio Visual, Security (video, access control, intrusion), and Structured Cabling solutions. You will lead ICT and structured cabling design for hyperscale data center and mission critical projects from planning through detailed design and construction support. You will develop design criteria, narratives, layouts, and construction documentation for telecommunications rooms, equipment rooms, backbone distribution, horizontal cabling, pathways, and cable tray systems.

You will apply working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and guidelines including ISO/IEC, EN, BICSI, ANSI/TIA, and related industry standards. Responsibilities also include developing written system specifications and functional system narratives in EN Series, ISO/IEC, and Master Format specification templates (Division 27 and 28, with Division 25 desirable).

Collaboration with Revit/CAD teams to develop technical design and construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, system riser diagrams, and installation details is essential. You will use design tools such as Navisworks to resolve modelling conflicts and collisions, review design documents, evaluate technology equipment suitability, liaise with multidisciplinary design teams, lead and minute design meetings, develop budgetary implementation costs, and provide construction stage administration including site reviews.

Additional duties include business development, client relations, proposal support, technical approach development, project scoping, and coordination and training of junior team members.

Arcadis is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to equality, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. We provide a competitive benefits package and support professional development including association dues and licensing fees.
