About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tribunal Complaints and Mediation Lead within the Special Educational Needs (SEN) service at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The successful applicant will lead the Tribunals, Mediation and Complaints function, ensuring timely, effective, and compassionate responses for children, young people, and families. Working closely with the SEN Service Manager, the postholder will deliver key priorities and collaborate with schools and partners within and beyond Tower Hamlets to support the best outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. This permanent role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a complex SEND environment, requiring excellent communication, analytical, and partnership-building skills.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience working with families and professionals in complex SEND environments. Demonstrated ability to manage tribunal, mediation, and complaints processes effectively.

Excellent communication and analytical skills. Strong partnership-building abilities. Compassionate and committed to supporting children, young people, and families. Able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or experience in SEND, mediation, complaints management, or related fields are desirable to support the role.
