As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) focusing on Agentforce Operations, you will design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions directly inside customer environments. Agentforce Orchestration (AFO) transforms complex operational workflows, unstructured data, and legacy ERP logs into autonomous execution engines with humans in the loop.

Working in an agile pod alongside Deployment Strategists and Specialized AI Engineers, you will connect advanced AI agents to enterprise technology landscapes. Your responsibilities include writing production code, architecting real-time data grounding systems, prompt engineering, managing multi-agent communication protocols, and deploying automated supply chain and back-office workflows from day one.

Key activities include building and optimizing operational workflows, implementing agent communication protocols, developing real-time data grounding infrastructure, managing enterprise integrations and APIs, leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools, building telemetry and observability dashboards, and providing field-to-product feedback to core Salesforce teams.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with at least one production AI, data engineering, or enterprise integration system deployed to production.
Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
Deep expertise in LLM orchestration, prompt tuning, and building RAG pipelines, vector search indexes, and knowledge base retrievers.
Practical experience with API design (REST, SOAP, webhooks) and multi-agent communication protocols including Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Experience with process orchestration and API-led connectivity using MuleSoft or custom middleware to integrate AI agents with legacy ERP systems.
Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and asynchronous message integration.
Familiarity with automation platforms (Pega, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, ServiceNow, Appian, Microsoft Power Platform) and competing enterprise AI platforms.
Knowledge of integrated enterprise applications (Workday, Coupa, Jira, Slack) and deployment infrastructure (Kafka, AWS EventBridge, Azure Service Bus, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
Understanding of data governance, master data systems, and operational execution platforms.
Solid grasp of enterprise security and governance including identity and access management, OAuth, data privacy, audit logging, and secure tool execution.
Willingness to travel 25-30% for on-site deployments.

Qualifications
Specific domain expertise in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Logistics Execution is a plus.
Experience within the Salesforce ecosystem (Agentforce Specialist, Data Cloud, Apex, Flow, or Headless architectures) is highly desirable.
Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
Proven ability to create reusable accelerators, reference architectures, connectors, and implementation playbooks.
Formal qualifications are not explicitly required but relevant technical education or certifications are advantageous.
