About the Role
Greystar is a leading, fully integrated global real estate platform specialising in property management, investment management, development, and construction services within institutional-quality rental housing. The Asset Management team, part of the Investments division, works closely with Portfolio Management and Transactions teams to execute asset-level investment strategies and deliver performance targets aligned with the Business Plan.
As an Associate, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of investment assets in the UK Student Accommodation sector, collaborating with supporting teams to monitor performance, analyse leasing, income, expenses, and asset returns. You will support investment strategy execution including NOI maximization and value-add initiatives, build and maintain complex financial models to forecast cash flows and investment returns, and prepare annual operational and capital budgets for senior management and capital partner approval.
Additional responsibilities include preparing monthly and quarterly reports for capital partners, monitoring debt covenants and compliance, presenting proposals and portfolio performance to internal investment committees, and tracking key market, industry, and competitor data. You will also work with stakeholders to improve reporting systems and data capture, completing various financial, accounting, narrative, and administrative reports essential to the successful execution of business plans.
Experience
Demonstrable passion for real estate and strong interest in business strategy. Prior experience in an analytical role within asset management, investment banking, private equity, or related sectors is essential. Experience in the residential multifamily or PBSA industry is advantageous but not required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining financial data to business leaders, team members, clients, and other stakeholders. Naturally inquisitive and commercially minded with a desire to understand the bigger picture and contribute to problem-solving. Positive team player with adaptability and flexibility to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships at all levels and act with impact and influence. Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, and well-organized with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
Degree qualification (or equivalent, 2:1 or above) ideally in finance, mathematics, economics, science, engineering, real estate, or a related analytical/business subject. ACA, CFA, MBA, or relevant MSc qualifications are desirable but not essential. IT literate with advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI. Competent in financial modelling, valuations, and financial analysis.
