About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Bartender to join our talented hospitality team at Birchwood at The Conduit, one of London’s leading private members’ clubs. In this exciting role, you will deliver high-quality drinks and engaging service, creating a welcoming and memorable experience for members and guests. You will take ownership of the bar during service, ensuring drinks are prepared to a high standard while contributing to a drinks offering that reflects seasonality, creativity, and low-waste principles.
Birchwood at The Conduit, led by chef Will Devlin, is a brand-new cafe and wine bar bringing a fresh, ingredient-led approach rooted in seasonality and sustainable sourcing. Expect bold, thoughtful dishes and a space designed for connection in the heart of Covent Garden. This role is a collaboration between Birchwood, Levy UK, and The Conduit.
Key responsibilities include preparing and serving cocktails, wine, beer, and soft drinks to a consistently high standard; delivering drinks with precision, strong presentation, and attention to detail; supporting a seasonal, ingredient-led, and low-waste cocktail approach; maintaining in-depth knowledge of the drinks list including natural and low-intervention wines; providing warm, engaging, and knowledgeable service; confidently recommending drinks and sharing the story behind products and producers; building rapport with guests to create a welcoming bar atmosphere; ensuring efficient bar operations and supporting the floor team; maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar including stock control and equipment care; and following all licensing, health, safety, and company standards while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
Experience
Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role is required. Good knowledge of cocktails and beverage service is essential.
About you
You have a passion for hospitality and guest experience, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a warm, engaging, and personable manner. You demonstrate strong attention to detail, remain calm under pressure, and are organised and efficient. You have an interest in seasonal ingredients, low-waste approaches, and knowledge or curiosity about low-intervention and natural wines.
