About the Role

The Patient Pathway Validator will lead on tracking patient pathways within Benign Urology, working closely with clinical and managerial staff to ensure patients receive timely treatment and national targets are met. The role involves providing high-quality administrative support across Trust-wide specialties and supporting day-to-day operational functions.
The post holder will monitor and review patient care progress using the Patient Tracking List, coordinate multi-disciplinary team meetings, participate in national audits, and identify improvements to patient care pathways. They will ensure timely communication and transfer of patient information between trusts and other organisations, escalate issues appropriately, and contribute to the development of the service in line with departmental and Trust objectives.

Experience
- Significant proven experience delivering high standards in a fast-paced, high-volume customer care environment
- Ability to deal independently and efficiently with a range of issues
- Proven administrative experience
- Desirable: Experience in an administrative role within the NHS

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multi-disciplinary staff
- Ability to manage difficult service users and challenging situations
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Desirable: Knowledge of medical terminology, understanding of the RTT 18 Week Pathway, peer review and governance processes
Qualifications
- Essential: Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Educated to diploma level or NVQ 3, City and Guilds certificate level in business administration or equivalent
- Desirable: Customer services qualification or training
