About the Role
Are you an experienced Building Fabric Maintenance professional looking for your next challenge? Arcus FM is recruiting a skilled and reliable Fabric Specialist to join our facilities maintenance team. You will deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services across a portfolio of multi-site clients. This mobile role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to showcase your expertise in a range of building fabric tasks.
As an Arcus Building Fabric Specialist, you will work across multiple client sites ensuring facilities are safe, fully functional, and well-maintained. Your responsibilities will include delivering effective repairs and maintenance work to a high standard, responding promptly and professionally to reactive issues, maintaining clear documentation using handheld IT systems, and supporting customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.

Experience
- Time-served, hands-on experience in multiple trades, ideally within fabric maintenance
- Experience working independently and in customer-facing environments
- Comfortable using handheld IT equipment for work management and documentation
- Solid knowledge of health & safety standards
About you
- Reliable and skilled with a practical approach to a variety of building fabric tasks
- Confident working across multiple client sites in a mobile role
- Able to deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional standards
Qualifications
- NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications in a relevant trade
- Valid UK driver's licence
Desirable
- Experience in retail or multi-site maintenance environments
Core Trade Skills
- Patch plastering and rendering
- Carpentry and joinery
- Floor and wall coverings (tiling, vinyl etc.)
- Basic plumbing
- Changing locks and fittings
- General fabric repairs
While expertise in every area is not required, a solid, practical experience across a range of disciplines is essential.
