The Enterprise and Growth Unit (EGU) promotes sustainable economic growth and higher productivity for the UK by providing analysis and advice on enterprise, innovation, private sector investment, and the transition to a low-carbon economy. The Business, Trade, and Culture team within EGU manages HM Treasury’s relationships with business and ensures public money is spent wisely in support of government objectives.
This role offers significant exposure to Ministers, Special Advisers, No.10, and senior stakeholders across business, HM Treasury, and wider government. Key responsibilities include designing and executing stakeholder engagement strategies for Ministers, managing relationships with businesses, civil society, and trade unions, delivering business engagement events, supporting strategic partnerships, and advising Ministers and senior officials on opportunities for stakeholder engagement and public-private collaboration.
The role is varied, fast paced, and stretching, providing a unique opportunity to influence policy and support sustainable economic growth in the UK.
Experience
Applications do not require specific prior experience; however, evidence of the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders is essential. Experience in communicating effectively with senior leaders and managing a busy workload under pressure is highly valued.
