About the Role
Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK's busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing specialist and community healthcare services across south London. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Clinical Legal Services Team as a Claims and Inquests Paralegal Apprentice. This is a unique opportunity to gain a Level 3 Paralegal qualification through a 24-month apprenticeship while gaining practical experience in a dynamic in-house legal department.
The role involves a 12-month rotation between the Inquests and Claims teams, supporting clinical negligence, personal injury claims, coroner's inquests, and healthcare law advice and management. You will undertake day-to-day administrative tasks under supervision and provide cross-cover to support team resilience.

Experience
- Experience of working in a pressurised environment.
- Experience of producing written material to a high standard.
- Desirable: Experience in complaints, claims administration, clinical risk management or governance.

Qualifications
- Essential: English and Mathematics GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A* to C or equivalent).
- Two A levels at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Applicants must not hold prior legal qualifications that surpass the apprenticeship level.
- Applicants cannot be enrolled in any other form of education during the apprenticeship.
- Predicted grades are not sufficient; qualifications must be achieved at the time of application.
