About the Role
The Cedars is a school for children with social, emotional and mental health needs, many of whom are also neurodivergent and may have experienced adverse childhood experiences. We cater for children aged 5 to 12 years with 70 primary places and 16 secondary places. At The Cedars, we prioritise relationships, emotional safety and consistency, recognising that when children feel safe, valued and understood, they are far more able to engage with learning. We are currently reorganising our Admin team and are looking to appoint a friendly, efficient and professional Clerical and Welfare Assistant to join the school community. The successful applicant will work alongside the School Business Manager and Attendance Officer in a busy office environment, providing efficient and accurate administration support to the school. We place a high regard on staff well-being and offer staff parking on site, an Employee Assistance Programme, pension scheme and other well-being initiatives. The school is committed to equality of opportunity and is an Equal Opportunities employer, welcoming applications from all sections of the community regardless of religion, race, age, colour, gender, sexuality or disability. The role is permanent with an expected start date of 2nd November 2026. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS checks.
