This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the South London Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC) as its Manager. You will operationally lead and manage the CRDC hub at Guys and St Thomas, and support the spokes at Lewisham and Greenwich and Oxleas Trusts. The role involves embedding best practice in commercial research delivery, growing the portfolio of commercial studies, and ensuring a financially sustainable and high-performing research centre.
The post holder will work closely with research teams, infrastructure, and partner organisations to deliver a growing portfolio of commercial research studies. This includes strategic development, business planning, budget management, staff leadership, risk and governance oversight, and fostering strong communication and collaboration across multiple sites. The role requires regular travel across South London clinical sites.

Experience
- Significant experience in clinical research management, including planning, coordination, and conducting clinical research studies or managing clinical research.
- Expert understanding of the research environment and its evolving landscape.
- Experience in managing budgets and developing financial plans.
- Proven strategic leadership skills and ability to lead initiatives and change.

Qualifications
- Essential: Master’s degree or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
- Desirable: Leadership and/or management qualification.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of NCVR and commercial research within pharma or NHS.
- Senior management experience of NHS-based research infrastructure or delivery services.
