Join M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Food section and become part of the UK’s fastest growing retailer. You will be a resilient and committed brand ambassador, confidently recommending and selling our newest food products to customers while ensuring they feel valued every time they shop with us.

You will thrive in a high-pressure environment, staying sharp, fast, and focused during the busiest times. Your role includes serving, selling, filling, and helping drive sales growth. Digital confidence is essential as you will use digital tools such as the Sparks App and in-store devices to enhance the customer experience.

Flexibility is vital as you will work across various areas of the store, adapting to changing retail demands. Being a team player is crucial to contribute to a positive, high-energy environment where everyone supports each other to deliver a seamless customer experience.

This role involves early morning shifts and is not suitable for applicants under 18 due to health and safety legislation.

Purpose
To deliver an outstanding shopping experience by putting customers first and championing our brilliant products. As the face of the business, you will be the voice of our customers, helping us continually improve.

Key Accountabilities
- Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points
- Keep the store clean and shelves stocked
- Monitor and deliver on daily sales targets, priorities, promotions, and selling opportunities
- Engage proactively with customers to understand their needs and deliver remarkable service
- Build expert product knowledge to recommend and sell products and services
- Utilise digital tools and communication channels effectively to deliver for the customer
