The Finance Directorate is undergoing significant transformation following the merger with Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, aiming to create a unified, best-in-class finance function. This Finance Officer role supports the vision by supervising and ensuring the provision of a professional billing, administration, and recharge service within the Private Patients Units.

The post holder will manage their own workload to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate billing of patient episodes and cost capture. Close collaboration with Senior Finance Officers, Billing Manager, Senior Finance Managers, patients, consultants, and insurance companies is essential to maintain a professional service. The role requires flexibility to work across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities include raising invoices, data collation and input across multiple Trust systems, audit compliance, electronic invoicing, managing recharges and clinician fee splits, processing consultant payments, handling queries from various stakeholders, raising credit notes, month-end reporting, payment collection, and providing team cover duties. The role also involves occasional additional duties as directed by management.

Experience
- Good experience or understanding of working in a high-pressure office environment
- Experience of finance support or equivalent transferable experience
- Desirable: Experience working within a hospital environment and some customer service experience

Qualifications
- Essential: NVQ Level 4, Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Technician Level or equivalent experience
- Desirable: Engaged in training for a Finance qualification
