About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for south London and specialist care across the country. The Trust is renowned for clinical excellence, high quality teaching, research, and a commitment to patient-centred care. It is part of King’s Health Partners and works closely with King’s College London to deliver world-leading research and clinical trials.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the CHILDS programme as a Senior Data Analyst. The programme focuses on clinical-academic research in population health paediatrics, aiming to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities for children and young people. You will use advanced data analytics to link and analyse data across providers and sectors, segment populations, and identify variations in outcomes and health service usage.
You will support transformation and value for money in planning, commissioning, and service evaluation by embedding evidence-based population health analysis within the local health system. Your role will involve identifying innovative uses of NHS data and implementing solutions to deliver fresh insights.
Main duties include managing all aspects of data collection, analysis, insights, and visualisations to support project and programme delivery; using data analysis to inform research, identify patient cohorts, support decision making, and evaluate services; becoming an expert in the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and other clinical systems; collaborating with clinical and academic teams to apply advanced statistical and predictive modelling techniques; and operationalising and evaluating decision systems.
The Trust values a culture of caring, ambition, and inclusivity, and supports flexible working arrangements to promote a healthy work-life balance.
