This role offers the opportunity to join an ambitious procurement collaborative organisation supporting the development and implementation of innovative strategies within the Commercial Delivery team. You will work alongside senior clinical and operational teams, as well as regional and national stakeholders, to drive innovation and collaboration primarily in the Digital space. The role includes leadership of a small team of Category Managers.

You will contribute significantly to delivering cost and efficiency savings across a large portfolio of procurement projects, ensuring contract compliance and procurement excellence. You will develop and implement procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with NHS and government procurement initiatives. This role requires managing complex collaborative procurements across NHS organisations and other public sector bodies, delivering sustainable cost and service improvements.

Experience
- Significant senior procurement experience including Digital Health/Technology or other complex spend categories
- Proven stakeholder management and category management skills
- Extensive contract negotiation, contract management, and supplier engagement experience
- Track record of achieving substantial transformation and value for money
- Understanding of wider public procurement and commercial environment
- Senior specialist commercial/industry experience in procurement and supply in a senior management role

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, influence and lead teams, including those without direct reporting lines
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills to manage multiple projects and workloads effectively
- Collaborative and proactive approach to building and maintaining relationships across NHS Trusts and other stakeholders

Qualifications
Essential
- Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or appropriate professional institute or relevant experience
- Continuous professional development (CPD)
- Procurement Procedures workshops
- Account management skills training
- Recognised advanced computer training courses

Desirable
- Masters degree or equivalent plus senior specialist procurement knowledge and experience
- Project Management qualification (Prince 2 Practitioner)
