About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a comprehensive range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care nationally. The Trust is renowned for clinical excellence, research, and teaching, with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.

The HLCC Quality & Safety Lead (Clinical Guidelines and Policy Integration) will lead the integration, alignment, and continuous improvement of clinical guidelines and policies across the Heart, Lung & Critical Care clinical group and the wider Trust. This pivotal role ensures that clinical guidelines are current, evidence-based, and free from duplication, supporting consistent and excellent clinical practice.

As the central contact for clinical guideline and policy integration, you will engage proactively with directorate leads, clinical teams, and Trust-wide groups to drive collaboration, facilitate improvements, and embed best practices. You will lead initiatives and committees focused on guideline development, implementation, and compliance with national standards such as NICE guidance.

Key responsibilities include coordinating clinical guidelines across HLCC and Trust-wide, strengthening committee oversight, producing detailed reports on clinical group safety and guideline integration, delivering training on guideline and document management systems, and acting as a professional ambassador for clinical governance and quality improvement.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence clinical governance at a leading NHS Trust, working within a dynamic and supportive environment committed to innovation, patient safety, and staff development.
