About the Role
Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a large, dynamic kitchen team. Drive innovation and create a culture of menu development whilst delivering on the framework of a Hoxton Restaurant menu, allowing the amazing produce to speak for itself. Maintain kitchen standards by seeking efficient solutions while preserving the quality and integrity of the menu. In the absence of the Head Chef and Sous Chef, oversee the kitchen team. Both guest and team experience will be at the heart of all you do. Lead your team by example, keeping them involved and motivated; help them feel empowered and supported, confident in providing top Hoxton experiences for guests and comfortable turning to you with questions.
Benefits
28 days holidays (inclusive of bank holidays), pension, and life insurance. Health cash plan to claim money back and access support for physical and mental wellbeing. Confidential mental health support hotline and network of mental health first aiders. Retail and hospitality perks through partners. Free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two upon starting. Meals provided during shifts. Excellent discounts across the Ennismore family for employees and their nearest and dearest. Annual free night at The Hoxton and additional rewards at milestones. Opportunities for progression and role changes within a global family of brands. Training academies and development programs. Extra time off to volunteer with partner charities. Regular team events including drinks and bi-annual parties. Enhanced family leave. Annual diversity and inclusion events to learn, celebrate, and make a positive impact.
Experience
2+ years’ experience as a Junior Sous Chef in a busy, bustling environment with freshness and provenance of ingredients as a key priority. Proven track record supporting the management of large kitchen teams. Experience in meetings and events (M&E) or banqueting is beneficial.
About you
A true passion for creativity whilst maintaining the integrity of brand standards through menu dishes. Looking for a place to be yourself; no clones in chef whites here. Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests and colleagues. Not precious, leaving egos at the door to get things done. Open to doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once. Desire to be part of a hardworking, supportive team that has fun along the way.
