About the Role
The Maintenance Technician delivers high-quality repairs, maintenance, compliance, and planned works to ensure a safe, well-maintained building and an excellent resident experience. This role involves diagnosing faults, carrying out day-to-day repairs, and maintaining the building, grounds, and equipment. Key responsibilities include maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance across the community; completing maintenance tasks promptly and to a high standard including plumbing, carpentry, decorating, lighting, and general repairs; managing maintenance requests through Onsite to ensure timely completion and resident communication; delivering excellent customer service and effective communication with residents, contractors, and colleagues; maintaining accurate maintenance records and complying with company policies and procedures; monitoring budgets, stock levels, and maintenance supplies; coordinating and supervising contractors ensuring compliance with RAMS, permits, and health & safety requirements; carrying out statutory compliance tasks such as PAT testing, emergency lighting inspections, fire alarm tests, and fire evacuations; inspecting and maintaining communal areas, refuse stores, gardens, and grounds to a high standard; supporting property security, risk assessments, and statutory inspections; responding to emergencies including out-of-hours call-outs when required; and promoting efficient use of utilities while supporting continuous improvement across the property.
Experience
Experience in maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, decorating, lighting, and general repairs is preferred. Experience managing maintenance requests and coordinating contractors is advantageous.

Qualifications
GCSE (or equivalent) education with good written and numerical skills. Relevant trade qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in plumbing, electrical, or building maintenance is required.
