About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in delivering an exceptional resident experience by working alongside the Community and Estates Management teams. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs, maintenance tasks, planned and unplanned works, and ensuring statutory compliance of building fabric and mechanical and electrical systems. This includes inspecting and diagnosing faults, undertaking minor repairs and decoration to buildings, grounds, and equipment, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the community.

Key responsibilities include working as part of the Community team to maintain cleanliness, communicating effectively with residents, clients, contractors, and colleagues, and managing maintenance tasks through the electronic reporting system, Onesite. You will administer property maintenance records in line with company policies, maintain stock levels, and deliver high-quality repairs in plumbing, joinery, carpentry, painting, and lighting or coordinate contractor repairs.

Additional duties involve ensuring health and safety compliance, reporting incidents, moving furniture, inspecting communal areas, coordinating external contractors, monitoring subcontractor performance, assisting with community works, supporting security management, maintaining statutory testing records, carrying out PAT testing, emergency lighting inspections, fire alarm tests, and fire evacuations. You will also oversee garden and grounds maintenance, practice proper safety techniques, be available for out-of-hours emergency call-outs, review site risk assessments, and seek to maximize utility efficiency.
