London - St Thomas's Hospital and Minnie Kidd House, Clapham South
Hours
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week with possible shifts of 8:00am-4:00pm, 9:00am-5:00pm, or 10:00am-6:00pm. May require working 1 Saturday per month and cross-site working between St Thomas's Hospital and Minnie Kidd House.
Salary
£31,944 per annum
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your administration and management skills within a demanding healthcare environment. As a Patient Pathway Co-ordinator in the Ophthalmology Department at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a key role in coordinating outpatient journeys across multiple sub-specialties. You will work closely with clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure patients receive timely, high-quality care. The role involves managing complex clinic profiles, tracking patient pathways, providing administrative support, and maintaining effective communication with clinical teams and external organisations. You will contribute to service development, participate in audits, and support the smooth running of the department in line with Trust values and objectives.

Experience
- Proven administrative experience in a fast-paced, high-volume customer care environment.
- Experience managing complex and high-volume outpatient clinics and clinic profiles.
- Desirable: Experience within the NHS, supervising staff, and handling large data sets.
Qualifications
- Essential: GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English.
- Evidence of formal further training in administration and significant hospital administration experience.
- Desirable: Customer service qualification or training.
About You
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills to prioritise a busy workload.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with patients and the public while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise your own workload and that of junior staff.
- Desirable: Understanding of peer review and governance processes.
