We are seeking a Patient Pathway Coordinator to join the Diagnostic Centre admin team. This role involves scheduling appointments for NHS and private patients for a wide range of diagnostic tests, ensuring adherence to waiting time guidelines, and maintaining excellent communication with patients and staff at all levels. The post holder will lead on tracking patient pathways, working closely with clinical and managerial teams to ensure timely treatment and compliance with national targets.
The role requires providing high-quality administrative support across multiple Trust-wide specialties, supporting day-to-day operations, and maintaining accurate data and records with strict confidentiality. You will also assist with reception duties, patient registration, appointment coordination, and support sonographers and consultants as needed.

Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative role within the NHS or private healthcare setting
- Experience with electronic booking systems
- Understanding of NHS waiting time targets
- Desirable: Experience working within diagnostics or an Imaging department
- Desirable: Experience working with EPIC system

- Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional telephone manner
- Ability to balance competing priorities within a fluctuating and demanding workload
- Detail focused with the ability to accurately complete routine and repetitive tasks
- Punctual, conscientious and calm under pressure
Qualifications
- Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Evidence of formal further training in short courses and significant experience of hospital administration
- Desirable: IT package qualification/training, e.g. European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
- Desirable: Customer services qualification/training
