About the Role
Amazon is seeking an experienced, driven, and creative PR Manager to lead communications for the UK retail function. You will be responsible for delivering high-impact campaigns around major shopping events such as Prime Day and Black Friday, showcasing the value customers receive when shopping with Amazon. As a key member of the UK Communications team reporting to the Head of Consumer Communications, you will manage integrated PR campaigns, develop messaging and media materials, and build strong relationships with media, influencers, creators, and agency partners. This role requires a deep understanding of the UK earned and social media landscape, excellent writing skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up culture. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver projects on deadline and manage complex PR challenges and issues related to the UK retail business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage integrated PR campaigns around key retail moments
- Deliver campaigns and launches for shopping innovations
- Write campaign plans, messaging, and media-facing materials
- Build and maintain relationships with key media and secure top-tier coverage
- Provide counsel to internal executives on PR challenges and opportunities
- Collaborate with agencies and international teams to implement PR activity
- Work cross-functionally to deliver projects on time
- Manage fast-moving, complex PR challenges from business and media
- Support issues management related to UK retail operations
Experience
- Proven experience in professional communications or public relations
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing or communications campaigns
- Experience measuring and reporting on PR program effectiveness
- Extensive experience in agency and/or in-house roles preferred
