As a Systems Development Manager, you will build and lead a new team based in central London, owning the future growth and success of your group. Beyond managing engineers, you will set the standard for automation and scalable operations, dive deep into technical challenges, and continuously improve the customer experience. You will embrace the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) model of service delivery and work closely with empowered, world-class engineers to meet world-class challenges.

Typical responsibilities include automating advanced cloud infrastructure, simplifying and reinventing systems and processes, building unique technical solutions, providing architectural guidance, investigating operational improvements, mentoring and developing team members, and troubleshooting root causes of issues. You will foster a culture of ownership and continual improvement while supporting out-of-hours support with minimal disruption.

Experience
- Proven experience managing system or software development teams
- Hands-on experience in systems engineering and administrative work involving networking, storage systems, and operating systems
- Experience with agile software development methodologies

Qualifications
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Solid understanding of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience with Agile engineering practices such as Kanban and continuous delivery
- Familiarity with AWS platforms, services, and design patterns is preferred
