About the Service and Team
Within the Peoples Services Directorate (Adult Social Care, Children's Social Care & Education), the Insights & Delivery Service area serves as the operational process and analytical engine room. This service integrates data intelligence, digital systems, business delivery, and quality assurance to create a resilient, modern infrastructure that empowers frontline practitioners. By driving process innovation, championing digital tools, and providing vital learning and insights, the team enables effective social care delivery.
The Digital Improvement programme focuses on implementing and supporting changes in the core social care case management system Mosaic from a data and delivery perspective. It also supports Adults and Children’s service areas in adopting tools like Magic Notes and CareCubed, while planning for upcoming legislative changes.
About the Role and Our Ideal Candidate
The Principal Data Lead will bring expertise to an established team focused on exploring the art of the possible in designing, building, and maintaining business intelligence systems. This includes automation where possible to enhance strategic decision-making and improve services. The role offers a hybrid working model with an expectation to attend the office as required.
Note: Shortlisting will be a two-stage process involving initial application review and online programming skills testing before interview selection.

Experience
Proven expertise in designing, building, and maintaining business intelligence systems with a focus on automation to support strategic decision-making and service improvement. Experience working with social care data systems such as Mosaic, Magic Notes, or CareCubed is desirable.
