About the Role
This role plays a key part in reducing the use of temporary accommodation by procuring private rented tenancies that comply with health and safety, homelessness legislation, licensing, and planning standards, while also reducing the number of empty properties in Camden. You will be responsible for delivering homelessness solutions through the procurement of suitable private rented accommodation. Leading a team of PRS procurement and placement advisers, you will ensure quality and standards are maintained through daily management and regular supervision. The role includes providing monthly reports, managing a large budget, and responding to senior management requests. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires a Basic DBS check.

Experience
Proven background in property procurement and managing a team of procurement officers. Experience working within the private sector with exposure to homelessness and housing needs is essential.
About You
Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and customer care skills. Highly organised and efficient with a thorough understanding of private rented sector legislation and policies. Knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 Part VII, Protection from Eviction Act, environmental health legislation, and welfare benefit legislation is highly beneficial. Passionate about housing equality and committed to delivering effective homelessness solutions.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or experience in housing, property procurement, or related fields are desirable but not explicitly stated. A Basic DBS check is required for this role.
