About the Role
Salesforce is hiring a RVP Forward Deployed Engineering, Salesforce / Portfolio Leader to directly manage and grow a team of technical AI specialists deploying Agentforce solutions inside complex customer environments. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can drive engineering excellence while operating at the executive level. You will lead a blended delivery team made up of Forward Deployed Engineers (Technical Builders who design, build, and deploy AI Agents directly in customer environments) and Deployment Strategists (Strategic Builders who shape AI strategy, define use cases, and drive adoption). Together, these teams co-build and deliver agentic AI solutions on large enterprise accounts or multiple engagements simultaneously. You will set engineering standards, unblock complex customer deployments, and scale the talent shipping production AI today.

Key Responsibilities
• Own capacity planning, talent acquisition, and staffing to ensure cross-functional squads have the horsepower to deploy Agentforce at enterprise scale.
• Foster an inclusive, high-energy, and psychologically safe engineering culture where builders iterate fast and continuously improve.
• Partner with Product and Engineering organizations on pilot programs and beta rollouts, turning field insights into features on the Agentforce roadmap.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop technical and strategic builders, driving technical excellence and career growth.
• Monitor delivery metrics, coach teams on optimization, and manage complex customer escalations to maintain operational velocity.
• Serve as the ultimate technical authority and escalation point for your portfolio, guiding enterprise implementations and removing deployment barriers.
• Build and maintain strong executive-level customer relationships to ensure flawless Agentforce activation, rollout, and sustained production value.
• Collaborate closely with Services, Account Success, and Product teams to accelerate customer adoption from pilot to production.

Experience
• 5+ years of direct people management or high-impact technical leadership steering cross-functional engineering or technical teams.
• Proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and scaling technical talent.
• Deep architectural understanding of AI, LLMs, and the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise software implementation, data modeling, API integration, and AI deployments.
• Direct experience architecting or deploying Salesforce Data Cloud and the Agentforce platform.
• Strong background in navigating high-touch customer strategies at a global level with exceptional executive communication and influence skills.

Qualifications
• Hands-on experience building multi-agent systems, prompt engineering pipelines, or deterministic AI guardrails (nice-to-have).
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery and enterprise data pipelines (nice-to-have).
• Relevant Salesforce certifications such as Advanced Admin, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Agentforce Specialist (nice-to-have).
