The RXF: SELCA Patient Pathway Navigator role requires an enthusiastic, dedicated and adaptable individual with excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient management of patient pathways, particularly for patients on hepatitis pathways, to ensure timely treatment and achievement of national targets.
The post holder will work closely with clinical and managerial staff, including the Assistant Service Manager, providing high standards of administrative support and actively tracking patient pathways. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, resolving day-to-day issues, escalating serious concerns, and ensuring effective communication and transfer of patient information between trusts and organisations.

Experience
- Significant proven experience delivering high standards in a fast-paced, high volume customer care environment
- Ability to deal independently and efficiently with a range of issues
- Proven administrative experience
- Desirable: experience supervising staff and working within NHS administration
About you
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Skilled at managing difficult service users and challenging situations
- Strong data collection, presentation, report writing skills and attention to data quality
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly
- Capable of following complex protocols and providing appropriate feedback to senior staff
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Desirable: knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of peer review and governance processes
Qualifications
- Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Educated to diploma level or NVQ 3, City and Guilds certificate level in business administration or equivalent
- Evidence of formal further training through short courses and experience of a range of administrative practices
- Desirable: customer service qualification/training and IT package qualification/training such as ECDL
