About the Role
Are you an experienced, confident Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) ready for a senior practice role that focuses on leadership, expert decision-making, and mentoring colleagues? Within the Integrated Mental Health Service (IMHS), you will play a vital statutory role ensuring residents receive timely, safe, and legally compliant interventions under the Mental Health Act.
As a Senior AMHP, you will provide leadership, expert practice support, and oversight from the AMHP Desk, working closely with the AMHP Team Manager to drive quality and confidence within the service. Your key responsibilities will include acting as a senior decision-maker in complex or high-risk situations, providing day-to-day guidance to AMHP colleagues, coordinating referrals, delivering reflective supervision and mentoring, and contributing to quality assurance and continuous service improvement.

Experience
- Current approval as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner with substantial post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience working in complex, high-pressure situations making proportionate and legally compliant decisions.
- Experience providing leadership, mentoring, and reflective supervision within a mental health practice setting.

Qualifications
